Exciting weekend!! I will be having a book signing in my home church, Centro Internacional De La Familia!! This book signing means a lot to me because through the help of my pastors Roberto Candelario and his wife Awilda I have been able to grow and mature in my spiritual walk. It is an honor to share my book with them.
Ok so let me tell you how our first Holiday challenge went. On Wednesday we kicked off our challenge by inviting some friends over to "serve" them. My boys helped prepare the table and even had a say on special touches we should add. My youngest suggested that he would open the door for them when they arrived and greet them with a bow and a welcome, he did great. LOL My oldest turned on the candles and placed everything on the table precisely so... he is good with small details. He even made a "practice" hot cocoa to make sure he got the whipped topping just right. hahaha LOVE HIM!
Through out the evening as my friends and I shared with one another my youngest would come and refill our hot cocoa and ask if we would like anything else... he wore a kitchen towel on his arm like a waiter. haha adorable!!! Everything went well, my friends and I had a wonderful "girl talk" night. We shared, inspired, complained and prayed for one another. LOLBest of all... my boys loved the experience of
giving.... my youngest (which is the most expressive) said " wow mom I love serving!!" hahaha
This week since we wont be able to do our challenge on Wednesday we are doing it today... We are taking our boys downtown to feed the homeless a home cooked Thanksgiving meal. I'll let you know how that goes!
