Last of the Holiday Challenges for 2013

I have to tell you that this weekly holiday challenge has been a great idea for my family. My boys have enjoyed every minute of this experience.  Let me update you on the last few things we have done.

We found out about a homeless family that is living at a hotel with an 18 month old baby that needed warm clothes.  The boys broke open their piggy bank & rolled up all the coins, we were able to buy a few outfits, shoes & a coat for her.

Also, after learning that one of my fellow "reinas" had been involved in an accident, I asked my boys if they would accompany me to visit & pray for her.  Well, we went with a guitar and home made soup to the physical therapy rehab center where she is staying and surprised her with a "parranda". A (Christmas caroling assault) lol

Lastly, we snuck around to bring some holiday cheer to Grandma Ramona.  During the holidays she gets a little blue missing her NJ family . Sooo we decided we'd bring a little holiday cheer to her casita. We bought her a Christmas tree and broke into her room when she wasn't home. The boys set it up while I kept watch & took pics of course! Lol We left it set-up & lit-up.   When she arrived we all walked her in and sang "Feliz Navidad"

Lesson learned: My oldest decided he would take from his own money and buy a gift for everyone in our family... mind you that's over 20 gifts!! lol I'm so proud!! I hope we have inspired you to spread a little holiday cheer. Love you and thanks for reading!

Merry Christmas

from our family to yours!
