Manuscript’s
Strengths
· The Introduction is
exceptionally well written—it lays a solid foundation for the book and will
really make readers engaged right from page one. Providing this background
information on the genesis of the book gives the audience a lot to connect
with. They are already invested in the story before it even begins, which is a
great effect to make with your opening pages. Very well done.
· The details
throughout the manuscript paint a very vivid picture that feels more like
watching a movie than reading a book. Readers will be able to imagine every
detail of each scene—not only what the scene looks like, but also the emotional
energy in the air (scenes with Alfred), how the setting feels (the storm at the
beginning of chapter 4) and even in some places how it likely smells (such as
with Abigail being found in a dumpster). This rich experience will really make
readers get lost in the book, which is the experience people are looking for
when they purchase.
The
story itself is the greatest strength of this manuscript. It is a lovely story,
a unique story and one that any person can relate to. It spans not only age
groups, but also cultures and countries. Many people are born through
heartbreaking circumstances and struggle all their lives to figure out that
those circumstances do not reflect on them personally, since they were only
infants who never asked to be born. This book will help people analyze how they
feel about their parents and the circumstances of their birth; it will make
them see more objectively and figure out if they need to make any changes.
